Most recent drilling was in Sec 1 by Chesapeake in 2010. Not much happening in the area. They were going for Missourian and DesMoinesian rocks. Go to the Apache website to look up general information on the area. Their investor presentations have some good maps.

The surface and the mineral pooling are entirely separate. You might want to get an attorney to read the surface agreement as it should also be completely separate and you want to make sure you are duly protected. You have 20 days from the pooling hearing to pick your option. Actually, you have 10 days to even lease in there if you wish-could be to someone completely different. The surface agreement has to come before they drill the well, so that could be months later. Anytime someone tries to rush me, I wonder what they are up to……

I’ve been told that Linn is supposed to be drilling a well this year in Sec. 7 10N 24W.
Linn just pooled 7 10N 24W for $550 3/16 or $350 1/5 or $0 and 22%. 640 ac spacing in the Virgil horizontal well to be drilled 500 feet from the east line .

No drilling permits in the last 999 days, but there is a lease in S 6 by Meadows Oil & Gas in Feb of this year. Nothing in 7, no leases, no permits, no corporation hearings. Nothing since 2004

Nothing in years on 8. The only new thing is a new lease in 7 with Fourpoint Energy back in March 2014.
