Hi! I live in Northern Wisconsin far from my mineral rights in Routt County. My grandmother homesteaded there long ago and when she sold her land keep 100% of the mineral rights.
I own them now and have been approached twice by Quicksilver to extend the lease I had with previous company.
The latest offer for 5 year extension bonus of $200 an acres for my 154 acres of rights located near Wolf Mountain site.
Can someone please tell me if this is a good offer or if I should ask for more.
I appreciate any advice you can give me.
Last summer I was offered $450/acre for a 3 year lease with a renewal at the same rate for an additional 2 years.
This was for 17% net royalty. I decided to wait a bit. My thinking is that things will heat up, but it is a gamble.
Can I ask how many acres you have?
