This our first trip into the mineral rights arena and we have a question regarding an upcoming BIA auction (scheduled for June 27). We have been told by BIA that our property T30N, R50E, S6) is included on a list of land to be leased. I called the local BIA office, but I still don't understand the process. Has anyone gone through one of these before?
Do we have to sign with the highest bidder if our land is included in their bid?
What if our land isn't included on the highest bidders list? Does that mean it can't be drilled?
