I’ve been receiving court papers for what looks like Relief Sought for horizontal drilling… Not really sure. The legal verbage is hard for me to understand. I’m just wondering if anyone knows what this means as far as my mineral interest goes? The applicant is Longfellow Energy, LP and I believe my interest is with Staghorn Petroleum. Thanks!
I find it useful to put the cases in numeric order and then as you get updates, put the newest one on top so you can follow the process. These cases are the required steps before a well is drilled. Generally, the news is positive for your mineral rights. You may have leased with one company and another drills. That is common. More cases will probably follow. The spacing comes first, then the permission to drill a horizontal well.
