Does anyone know of any activity in Block 59 Section 16? Thanks! Helen
Helen,
Unfortunately, not much is happening in Block 59 at the moment. Most of the drilling activity is to the East of you. You never know what might happen in a few years as drilling slowly moves that direction.
Cam
Cam, thanks so much for responding! Best,
Helen
Atlantic has been active in the past year just North of you a few miles. However all of their well activity has been north of the large Grisham Fault, and you are ~ 2-3 miles south of this regional fault. There hasn’t been a good test south of the fault to assess the productivity of your area yet. You certainly have Wolfcamp and Hydrocarbons below you, but you will likely have to be patient and wait for operators to continue to push the edge of the basin and determine what is commercial.
Helen,
See the data that I just emailed to you and Clint. We can talk about your area this weekend.
Pretty sure there is a massive pinched out stacked play along the south
side of the Gresham Fault because the south side of the fault subsided
about 550 feet…forming a schism and a shale bound overthrust.
I’m betting it will be a high pressure, medium volume play of wet gas.

Also, if it does please tell me in less technical terms what it means. I only had one semester of geology. P S. Thanks for all the help you guys give to us poor blind beggars All my the best, Aubrey
