Can anyone fill me in on this company? I was contacted by Greg Albright -I am the Executor of a small lease in Caddo Cty - he said he was trying to find lease holders of small acreages for Section 27 - said they were trying to pay out the smaller leases - he gave me the impression that their was an oil company buy out ---he was supposed to have a packet sent to me - this was 2 months ago - when I called him back recently he said he would check on it but still nothing --Is this company legitimate?
They are not an oil company. Saying they will do something and then not doing it was typical in my experience. They will take forever to pay you if you do lease to them. I had a horrible experience with them. What Township and Range? There are plenty of good brokerages out there.
Thanks for your input - I need to check the family records - I thought this was leased to Linn Energy but I could be mistaken--property is only 3+ acres Section 27 10N 10W
I would not deal with Blue Ribbon either. We leased to them almost a year ago and have not received the promised bonus. I think they are in financial difficulties.
We leased nearby section: 22-10-10 for $2000/3yr/@ 3/16 last year (May 2017). Later we were offered $1700 to lease section 27. We dealt with R.D. Williams & Co. in Ardmore, a long time Land Services Co.
Hi Karen - I was curious if you ever decided to lease to Blue Ribbon. I have received a lease offer from them recently and am trying to decide how to proceed.
It is much better to have a third party such as an attorney, bank officer or accountant hold your signed lease on your behalf. Never turn over a signed lease to a lessee without a check in hand. I do not do the 30 day drafts at all. That particular company has had quite a few complaints for non payment over the last year.
still waiting for Greg Albright to send me some money like he said from last year. Blue ribbon is bs ribbon
One comment- I did a lease with BR last year. I signed the lease, gave it to my attorney in Edmond with instructions to release it to BR only when he had the agreed lease bonus in hand. While BR was several months late, and I spent a good bit of time in follow up including a visit to their offices in OKC, this approach finally resulted in a closed deal.

Don’t do it! They won’t pay. I signed a lease over a year ago and still no payment
Are there any updates on problems with Blue Ribbon? I received a letter from Greg Albright also with an offer and am researching.
