Has anyone actually heard back from Boomslang Resources after receiving an offer letter? They are sending out big numbers on their mass mailings but I’m starting to question if they are a real company. We’ve asked for an ‘official’ offer both by email and VM and no one ever responds. Just curious…
This is a fairly common occurrence. Some companies generate mass mailers based off of public data where their spreadsheet quickly calculates an offer. Typically, when you do not receive a response, it means that their mailer did not accurately describe what you own and they are not willing to pay the listed amount. There are still quite a few qualified buyers in Reeves County, but you may need to reach out to them directly.
Or search that business in this forum and find out what others have said about them.
It’s cheaper/quicker for a company to send out mass letters/emails for a county to garner interest than charging/paying a landman a daily $500 rate. Once you reply with info, they look at your sections and decide whether it’s worth a landman spending a couple days ar $500 a day on the interest. If you own a small amount or it’s not in the target area, us mineral owners rarely hear back from them
I realize how the mailers work guys, I’ve been in the business for a long time. I was more just asking about Boomslang themselves. I did finally hear back from someone over there since making this post.
