I own minerals in Section 16-22N-12W where Canvas Energy was intent to drill three wells. Does anyone know the status of these or can I find information on them through the Corporation Commission?
The Otter #1 & #2 were reported as “spud” on October 9 & 12, respectively. It will take 45-60 days to drill & another 30-45 days to complete. So not much information available to anyone that didn’t participate in the wells.

You can find out the well information on the OCC well records page. The information will be delayed by several months for the completion. The form for Spud is 1001A. The forum for completion is 1002A.
You can watch www.fracfocus.org for your wells to see when they are fracked.
You can watch the OTC site to see when the wells are considered “active”
@M_Barnes, thanks for the note on the SWD wells in the search results. I had done an API search, expecting a one well result, and got a list with wells from various counties…which should not happen if obeying API county code. Glad to know it is a known problem.
