Carter County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

I think the rig on 2 4S-2E might be the Cactus 141 drilling the SWEETEN 2,3,4, & 5 wells.

lso looked at our interests in 33-3s-2e. If anyone sees a drilling permit on 4-4s-2e please advise me.

Sounds like we are in the same boat. I saw my pad in late October, it was already finished. XTO has had a permit since July. But, nothing yet. I did notice that they are getting ready to drill SWEETEN 2,3,4, & 5 in 2 4S 2E, just East of your pad.

Looks like some of my comment went south. Went down to look at the pad on 4-4s-2e. It is huge. It is about 1/4 mile east of Refinery road. If anyone sees a drilling permit issued please advise me. Thanks

My pad over at 30 3S 3E is about 420’ by 420’. If yours is larger than this it may be other equipment besides the rig.

I noticed also that the KIDD 1-3H well on 3 4S 2E, just next door to your pad.

I didn’t see any of that info, I was only going on the size of the pad which is about 10 times the size of a normal size pad of about 420 x 420.

So glad to hear about all this activity in 4S-2E since I have an interest in Section 9. Hope they drift south in the near future.

I see where I got things wrong. I miss read the 1/4 East of Refinary Rd as the hugh pad was 1/4 mile by 1/4 mile.

I don’t know how I managed that.

There was a Hugh pad being built on the same section where they had previously drilled our “Branch” well in Stephen’s Co. When someone told us it might even cover 20 acres we got so excited because we had heard we might get more wells. We then were told it was going to be a compressor station which they are in the process of building. It let the wind out of our sails for a while. But now they ARE also starting the five more Branch wells! Two of them have been put up and one appears to be on part of the land that was cleared and prepared at the same time as the land for the compressor station. I was just thinking the case you guys have been talking about may be the same situation. When I went over to film yesterday I had to take my picture across the location of another well or go through the location of the compressor station. I didn’t see any locations being built extra so my guess is the other three wells will also be close to the compressor station on what apprears to be the same cleared area. So maybe that’s the case here. I realize it’s a different company doing the wells than the compressor station and are probably not on the same location but they just look that way. We’ll be positive and just help pray for some of you a great well or 2 or 3 or 4 or ??? Best Wishes!!!

Ronald,

I found what your saying. The well is call DUBLEL 1-4H. Here is the exhibit use by XTO showing the well location.

My pad is between 4.5 and 5 acres. It has the conductor hole drilled and is covered in gravel.\

It is located on the SW corner of Section 30 3S 3E on Mt. Pleasent Rd.

R.D. Williams, in Ardmore, has 10 leases in that Section/township/range for 2012.

Daniel A. Thompson Concerning the pad on 4-4s-2e I would like your thoughts on why it might be a compressor pad. XTO has applied for spacing, pooling, and location exception which would lead me to believe that a drilling permit was next.
Thanks for your input

The picture is looking due North

Ron, you must be kin to Larry Staples.

Daniel A Thompson. Yes that is the location. One of the land owners nearby estimated the location 5-10 acres. I am not a godd land estimator but it is smaller than my home on 15 acres. If I can I will attach a video of the pad. You will be looking from west to east in a northerly direction. Only Utube so you will have to go to

Ann Whitechurch Yes, that is my older brother. As a six year old would say, I am only 68 1/2. Do you know him?

Ron, I “met” him on the NARO Msg. Bd. several yrs ago & we’ve chatted a good bit about O&G issues & a few old Ardmore stories.

Looks like Cactus 129 POSTOAK 1-34H35 might be about ready to move.

It’s located on 34-4S-3E, just SE of Dickson.

Those WALLS wells (4) have taken a long to drill. The Felderhoff rig 27 was drilling when I was back there in late Oct.
