Carter County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Daniel Yes that is the one I was looking for. I will have to check with my local source to find if a second rig has moved in or how they are doing two holes at the same time. Once again THANKS DANIEL

Jeff,

I think XTO has drilled 3 or 4 wells around Dickson. XTO built my pad sometime before October '12 and has not drilled yet.

Daniel,

They have drilled or are drilling to the east of there in 26, 27 and 34 but I have seen anything on the completions.

Daniel, yes. The Indian Hills and Dubiel will drill off my pad as I understand. I now believe they are drilling the Dubiel first and will skid to do Indian hills. The only thing I do noft understand is two spud reports on the same pad ??

Ronald,

Is this what you have been looking for?

Just talked to my brother in Dickson and he said TXO was building a

pad in 28 4S 3E just south of Dickson.

Thanks Daniel, it looks llike drilling technology has outpaced me. The nig thing in my day was electric rigs and a few iron roughnecks. Lmao

Ronald,

It is my understanding that when there are multiple wells on the same pad, they spud all the wells and then drill the wells. If they have 4 wells, they will spud 1, 2, 3 and 4, then drill 4, 3, 2 and 1.

Found out a small amount of info on HOBBS 2-30H. The pad is empty and there has been no activity since I was back there in October.

I tried the new search engine, BING, that Microsoft has been showing on TV

I searched for HOBBS 2-30H and came across a post for the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Qualty. A staff member’s name was listed along with a Permit Number, date back in Sept. Long story short, I found her e-mail address and her phone number so I set her an e-mail ask for “whats up” info. Maybe we will find some out.

Terry,

Remember the picture you posted of the 3 or 4 big tanks that XTO installed near you? I wonder if that is what XTO calls a “crude oil site”.

Just found out that the hold up on my well, HOBBS 2-30H, in section 30 03S 03E has to do with XTO requesting a permit.

The permit request is for a crude oil site for tanks and a flare.

The DEQ is waiting for some information from XTO and that is why is has taken nearly 6 mos.

Danial there is 12 tanks on the Tyer 1 2 3 4 wells and 6 tanks on the Mitchell 1 and Lumberman 1 also an empty pad next to the Tyer them I think that pad is for a compressor station but I don’t know that for sure and 3 tanks on the Lydia 1 They are are laying oil gathering pipe line now coming across the Smith place Noble ranch next then my place then Cedar Falls Ranch which will tie all these wells into to it then on to Madill

Terry,

Maybe this has something to do with tying all the wells together.

Daniel,

Thanks good information

I received a reply as why XTO has not drilled the HOBBS 2-30H well.

Regarding the Hobbs 2-30, as a matter of practice, while we are not able to provide specific details of our future drilling plans, I can confirm that the Hobbs 2-30 well is not currently scheduled in calendar year 2013.

Paul,

Yes there is one well on both locations, but the second well on second has not been scheduled until 2013. BTW, my grandfater’s name was Daniel Sappenfield.

I hope your next one is a “gusher” !

How are your current wells producing? I understand that a vertical or horizontal well can produce for decades…

Paul,

That area could be in the SCOOP. You might what to get own the STEPHENS county forum and tell them you Section, Township and Range.

I don’t remember exactly what the SCOOP stand-for.

You have been a wealth of information Daniel, Thank you very much, Sir !

Paul,

It’s just the being.
