Have you guys seen anything going on with Sec. 24, 3S, 2E? That is right in the heart of Gene Autry. From the looks of the purchase offers we have been getting they are expecting “great things”.
XTO just recently plugged the ARDMORE 1-18 well.

However, section 18 3S 3E will have 8 news wells.
I should have said “…will have 9 new wells.”
The plugged well is ARDMORE 1-18, not to be confused with one of the new wells ARDMORE 1-18H.
Here is a diagram of XTO’s planned 8 new wells.
XTO Energy Inc.; Mitchell No. 1-1H Well; NE1/4 SE1/4 SE1/4 SE1/4 (SL) of 01-03S-02E; 493 barrels oil per day, 2,502,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 16,961.
XTO Energy Inc.; Tyer No. 2-12H Well; NW1/4 SW1/4 NW1/4 NW1/4 (SL) of 12-03S-02E; 448 barrels oil per day, 2,399,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 16,445.
XTO Energy Inc.; Tyler No. 1-12H Well; NW1/4 SW1/4 NW1/4 NW1/4 (SL) of 12-03S-02E; 308 barrels oil per day, 2,280,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 16,590.
Good afternoon to all … Need a bit of help . I have an online version of the McCasland Map of Carter County . I am trying to understand system to locate Section 10 NE/4 NW4 . Is it in the same section as Helaton ? Thanks in advance …
Steve,
There should be more info with your legal description. Something like 10-1N-3E. There are a couple dozen sections 10s within Carter Co.
Thanks Rick, I was advised the location of the well is going to be NE/4 NW/4 of section 10 and the target of the well is in SE/4 SW/4 of section 15 … I also noted that this is in sections 10-3s-3w and 15-3s-3w… I would just like to get a concept of where that is in Carter county … Thanks
Steve,
The township 3S-3W is on the far west side of the county about center. It would be right at the south 76 and 53 junction just north of Healdton. Hwy 76 forms the East side of those two sections. Where Hwy 53 heads West, it splits the two sections.
My understanding is that Continental is drilling form 10 into 15 3S-3W but cant find a permit online…anyone seen one?
I am one of them … I am excited however very low key until we see results . Wanting to learn process because have extend family having shares and they are looking to me for guidance
Steve, on mine it 30 plys days to drill, then rhey have to move in tanks and hook up to nearest pipeline, then about two weeks to frac depending on equipment available. After that they have 6 months to complete . The 6 months begins at the end of the month of first sale. Mine was spudded in early April and they started the frac yesterday. My first check could be Dec or Jan or even later depending on the date of first sale
XTO has three of the eight permits for Section 32 3S 3E. Remember this is the section that WIN, LLC protested the Increase Density. Here are the permit documents.

Thanks guys … what is the "normal " time for a well to be drilled ? in Days ? I am a college teacher and this is a new world for me… Its great to have experienced hands that know the ropes !
Bob, Steve,
I’d guess Continental will have a permit soon in 3S-3W. They have spacing applications and in some cases pooling applications in the works. The following have pending order are have been approved where noted. I haven’t seen permits approved yet.
4-3S-3W
9-3S-3W
10-3S-3W Spacing Order Approved
15-3S-3W Spacing Order Approved
16-3S-3W Spacing Order Approved
18-3S-3W Spacing Order Approved
20-3S-3W Spacing Order Approved
21-3S-3W Spacing Order Approved
22-3S-3W Spacing Order Approved (XTO also has apps in)
26-3S-3W Spacing Order Approved (XTO also has apps in)
27-3S-3W (XTO also has apps in)
35-3S-3W
Charter Oak also has a few apps in some of the sections for vertical wells.
Rick,
Here is the case number for Steve’s section. 201302982
It is requesting changing from 80 AC spacing to 640 AC spacing.
Yall are correct … is the 640 Ac spacing usual for Carter County ?
Ok, Newby question … What is the definition for spudded ?
Steve,
Here is an example. The Surface Cassing on this well is going to be drilled 1990’. Note to right that the water table is above the end of the surface casing. Also the surface casing, a pipe about 9" in dia is bigger that the drill pipe which is about 5 1/2" in dia. The surface casing is cemented in place before the drilling starts and I believe the top has a mounting for the blow-out preventer.
