Carter County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Chris,

If you would like to track the leases in your area go to the Carter Co Clerk’s website

https://okcountyrecords.com/search/carter

Under INSTRUMENT TYPE scroll down to Oil and Gas Lease,

Then scroll down to SECTION TOWNSHIP RANGE select 19 in SECTION. in TOWNSHIP

Select 3S, not 03S, then in RANGE select 1W. Not select SEARCH at the bottom of the page.

The records are in date order, most recent date first.

We have another small mineral interest in Carter County that I started looking at when the offer mentioned below. Was just going over records so I knew what we had going on in the area before talking with someone wanting to lease. And boy did it open a new can of worms for me… I started this on Garvin as a general question about unitization but am moving over here since my example is Carter County.

We have an interest in NE 21-1S-3W; while there doesn’t appear to be a producing well on our interest (NE excluding NW NW NE), the interest is part of a unit, the Fusulinid Unit. It doesn’t appear we were ever pooled. I can’t find a lease & don’t think we’re getting a check, although my records are terribly incomplete on both of these fronts. The OK Tax site doesn’t show any current production from the NE of the section. So, I am at a loss to figure out of these interest is held by production and, if so, whether it is just to that formation or more. The unitization this is what is really throwing me for a loop – it is probably obvious to an experienced eye but, wow, not to me.

And thanks to Martha Barnes for finding this really nice and simple (not) map of the unitization:

As always, any thoughts appreciated.

Rick, Murphy Energy, that was a big help – found a division order with them on this unit! So, now I know we’re at least on record to get paid.

My big goal is to figure out how we’re held – whether it is just the formation in the unit or if there is an old lease that would hold everything. Given that this is 1975 or earlier, as I understand it, I would have to get someone to go to the county and actually look for a lease - is that right?

Are there other practical ways to figure this out? Will the operator sometimes have and share this info - I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask.

Chris,

That unit is still producing. We get monthly checks on it from Murphy energy on tracts 3 and 4 out of it.

Murphy Energy is a buyer/marketer. Jimmy Chatham is the operator of record. Did you find the Unitization record? You should be in tract 6 and 7. The Harmon and Blanton wells from there date to the mid 50s.

Yes, you’ll have to take a look at the courthouse to find that one.

Any news on Citation’s J & B 17-1 Well in Sec. 17-5S-1W? We have not heard much out of them. Thanks!!!

Elizabeth, looks like they are just getting a location exception finalized. The pooling expires in February so there should be some activity on the ground there in the next two months.

Hi everyone I am new to the forum and have a question that I hope to get answered. I own minerals is Section 27-4S-3E. Does anyone have the production information from the Willard 1-34H27? The spud date was June 4th, 2013. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The Willard is not listed yet on the three locations I checked. It takes them about six months after completion even though it is supposed to posted sooner. Could be a couple more weeks to months before it is listed. It is still being carried as “active”

Mr. Thompson,

I drove out there a couple of weeks ago and didn't see a rig in the air. You are probably right. Thank you for the feedback!

Ronald,

Well good for you. I am still waiting. It has now been 19 months since our Increase Density request was filed.

After all the documents expired, I have not seen any activity in our section. However, it is very busy all around us. Not to mention that the operator of the existing well offered to purchase our mineral interest.

Thank you Mr. Barnes

Jason if they are fracking they will have a workover rig on location

Greetings to all. I went down to see the Dubeil location . I am hoping for a check this month or next. Production figures were outstanding for August and September

Daniel first production was in August so I should see some money in the next two months. I had a lot of offers over the years to buy my minerals. I turned them all down. I feel like minerals ar kind of like a savings account . I would like to see LE Jones sell our other well To XTO. Right now it is a pocket change vertical well.

Jason,

Might just drive out there and see if they still have a rig on site. Could be waiting on fracking.

Steve S. I have them on my phone and I cant figure how to attach them

Steve I have the numbers if you want them.

The link I just sent is a free one. Usually has numbers faster than some others. Try it and see if it works.

Not sure.
