Ron,

They scanned the docs this morning.

But, the docs did not appear in today’s newspaper.

Daniel, I agree! It can be incredible how little work some landmen do to find correct addresses. There are great landmen (& women) who really care about getting the right results but there are some who could care less. But they don’t hesitate to make sworn statements to the OCC that they made diligent efforts to get the correct addresses…

Daniel. They have my grandmother Alice and Grandfather Porter as unknown. They are the ones who originally bought the land in 1890’s or 1900.

Does anyone know where I could find a list of mineral rights that my mother-in-law owns. We know of several already but also have bits and pieces of other rights in carter county but she doesn’t remember if she sold them or still has them. Any help would be great!

Laura,

Carter Co on-line records only go back to 1984. Unless you want to pay someone, I think the county staff might do this, to do a search for you, you can go to the County Clerks office in Ardmore and look through the books for each township and range. I’ve done this and it is not so bad. You can find all sorts of interesting things. The staff is very Knowledgeable and helpful.

Daniel,

Thanks for the information. I will search their database and if need be visit the clerk’s office. Nice to know that the search isn’t that bad.

All, following up on Daniel’s excellent information he provided me, I spoke to Moxy today. They are acting as a pure mediary for Monterey Energy Group. They are making a good cash offer but are not willing to provide Pugh, Mittlestadt, depth or shut-in clauses. This of course has me greatly concerned.

Moxy confirmed that this is the Monterey group in California that is an energy engineering consultant that designs mechanical systems for homes and light industrial.

This seems strange that a company not involved in the O&G industry is trying to buy leases in OK. Any thoughts on this greatly appreciated. Are they trying to get ready for potential shale plays in California?

Bryan, There have been reports that a new very large shale play is starting in the California Central Valley, called the Monterey Shale. You. Can google the name and see just how large it is.

Daniel, thanks.

Ron,

The documents for 33 3S 2E were in the Ardmore paper today.

Daniel, there is a huge shale play in California and an even bigger set of environmentalists trying their darnedest to prohibit fracking in the state! One knocks on more door every few months which results in an amusing dialog.

Chris,

I am down Irvine, so I don’t hear as much as you do, but in the future I am sure it is going to become a bigger issue.

I think

I think a bigger issue for the central valley would be the high speed rail.

Does anyone travel through Healdton on a regular basis? I’d like to get visual progress on a well along Highway 76 on the North edge of town.

Daniel the rig is standing and should be drilling soon.

Ron,

33 3S 2E received the a drilling permit. Here is the layout of the lateral

Daniel. Thanks. I got my hard copy in the mail a couple of days ago. They are drilling from across Refinery road using CACTUS 159.

Ron,

Look at the very last paragraph of the order for the 33 3S 2E well. Looks like they can drill, but not produce.
