Carter County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Just a bit of trivia for those participating in the Dubiel well in 4-4s-2e.

There was a Dubiel arms manufacture plant on refinery road in early Ardmore history. They must have purchased land in the area.

Laura, If someone on here receives checks from two or more operators, one being XTO, then they could compare the price of the natural gas. Our wells are all with XTO, so I am not any help, sorry.

Ron, Dubiel family members are still in Ardmore.

Hello everyone, as I am newbie to this forum

Our family was looking for any information on the following 2 Continental wells in Carter County,

3 South and 3 West

Section 35 & 26

Taylor Made 1-35-26XH

Taylor Made came in at 60 BOPD & gas at 136 thousand MCF (back in May 2014) - We are pretty sure that the gas is now at about 2 million MCF but we are not sure about the oil production and whether it went up

Would anyone have any information on the Taylor Made 1-35-26XH

The other well is the Dixon no. 1-10-15xh on

Section 10 & 15

Dixon no. 1-10-15xh - We believe it has been completed (drilling & fracking) but we have not seen any gas or oil production

  • Would anyone have information on these wells?

Thank you very much Larry!

Larry: Where did you get your information on the gas on Taylor Made? Those number seem highly doubtful to me. Taylor made oil numbers for May, June, July: OIL: 180 bbl, 1978 bbl, 3510 bbl. Don’t have gas numbers. Maybe that 2,000,000 number is cubic feet…that would put gas at 2,000 MCF/day which seems more likely. The Taylor Made is a very disappointing well, although I heard they had some completion issues. The Dixon is still flowing back…but their published completion report will be even worse than the Taylor Made. Dixon has been doing no oil and about 2300 MCF/day. But that’s through Sept. 9 with two weeks on production and only about 11% of frac load recovered. Some folks I talk to think that they are trying to manipulate the production numbers because they are still leasing and pooling in that area…but who knows. I am don’t know if they can manipulate the production numbers. I’ve got a lot of acres near there so very disappointing. I would be interested to hear of anyone in here has knowledge if there is any way to temporarily manipulate production down without damaging the well. Time will tell.

Thanks…yes I will pass along any new information and please do the same.

I sure wish XTO would come back to 3s3e.

Bob, you are correct about the Taylor Made gas. I definitely misstated the amount as it is 2000 MCF. That number came from a person who lives close to the well and they went and read the gas meter coming from the well.

I appreciate your information concerning the Taylor Made & the Dixon so thank you!

We have received similar information concerning the completion problems of the Taylor Made. We heard a couple stories. One being that the rid was the problem, and the other being that there is a fault running through the land, which caused them drilling & completion difficulties. For as you know it took a long time from spud to completion.

As far as the Dixon we heard that it is going to do as you said, come in worse than the Taylor Made. I checked the Corporation Commission website today 9/28/2014 and it had a 9/22/2014 test date, 3.3 BO & 56 MCF. So I am somewhat pleased that you wrote, that it was now doing 2300 MCF. With only 11 % of the frac water, I can only hope that the oil starts to flow and the gas goes up as they get the water out of the well.

It looks like CONTINENTAL has a couple of other wells going on in CARTER 03 South & 03 West; the SHIVELY 1-21-16XH and the MAULDIN 1-27-22XH, so I will be curious how those 2 wells come in.

Bob thanks again for your information and for correctly my Taylor Made gas overstatement .

If we hear any addition information, we shall send it your way. Thanks Larry!

And I like your Dog Picture!

What do you mean about XTO? I’m in 35-3S-3E…I thought they were still active around there.

Daniel: In 35, they are HBP with an old short horizontal from they bought from a smaller operator…they drilled a new wellbore but have not completed it.

Bob,

I just checked the OCC and the activity in 36-3s-3e is into Johnson Co.

The 9 Ginger wells will not produce anything in Carter Co. The production is all in Johnson Co. There are 3 or 4 permits for section 25, but there is nothing like it once was. XTO has move over to Eastern Carter Co and down to Love Co.

Actually I was wrong. the Eva Mae was completed in 35 (hadn’t looked in a while) tested 194 oil 767 gas. None of those wells in that area are looking particularly great.

I’m new to the Carter Co. forum. Right now I’ll just listen to what ya’ll have to say. I’ve got interest in several sections…inherited from my mother. When something gets close to home I’ll chirp in.

I can not remember the last time I saw a new drilling permit. I received an Increase density request TWO years ago, they built the pad and then nothing has happened since, except XTO offered to buy me for about $5,800 per acre.

Curious about a well about a mile east of our area. XTO Eden #3-24h on 24 3S 1E. Don’t understand why there’s no production yet, anyone have any insight?

What do you mean by 14-8 or 22-9? Sections only have plain integers of 1 to 36. Do you mean 14 & 8? etc.

A friend told me XTO was flaring Ses 5 4S 2E. Anybody heard what it is producing? Jim Gigoux Sacramento

Kent,

I’d like to know that myself. I also have an interest in 24-3s-1e. I’ve been chasing the paper trail on this well since Chesapeake notified me that they sold it to XTO. Called XTO and they said someone would be in touch with me in a week or so. It’s been a week which means I’m waiting on the “so” part.

Has anyone heard of new drilling or permits in Carter County, Section 14-8, Township 3S Range 3W, or Section 22-9, Township 3S Range 3W ? Just wondering.

Well if they’re flaring, they certainly are producing gas. I’m curious as to why they’re flaring it though - there is takeaway all over the place. Pipe it and sell it!
