I was notified of activity in several cases, 2023-001977- 002007. I could not locate them on the OCC Imaged Case Documents; however, the short explanations were, " Record Opened, Merits Recommended." Is this a standard explanation to close a completed case or is it related to the prior intrusion into the Sycamore formation? Any opinions, insights?
Looks like the information on these cases has been posted on the OCC website and I understand what’s going on. All’s good!
Thanks for the information. Is that fracking related to the Great Plains wells?
The McPherson wells are over 20 miles away in McClain county and are not physically related to the Great Plains wells.
Does anyone know if the new Black Mesa wells (3-10-5N-5W/Cause 2023-001737) have been fracked?
You can look up frac information on the Frac Focus website. https://fracfocus.org
The answer is NO to the new ones being reported yet. The original well is there.
Only the original Great Plains well is there. The others have not been reported yet.
Great Plains 4-9-2WXH, Case 2023-001997, Order #742186. This deals with intrusion from Woodford into Sycamore during drilling.
Para 6.3 says in part, “Applicant has run casing in the lateral of the multiunit horizontal well covered hereby and has cemented such casing to cover and isolate the perforations in such lateral.”
Does that mean the well won’t draw from the Sycamore? The intrusion was 372’ long.
It’s not plugged back. That doesn’t happen on horizontal wells.
Lee- when you get the DO, it will set out the percentage of production from each producing zone in each section.
LOL- where in the horizontal leg will you put the BP? And what will that do to production behind that BP?
Thanks for the common sense answer Todd.
That won’t accomplish anything but shutting off Woodford perforations at the bottom of the hole.
