I received a notice from the US Bankruptcy Court (Houston Division) and a letter from Chesapeake regarding the same. I inherited minerals and haven’t received a payment from them since I transferred ownership 4 years ago. As far as I can tell there is no required action on my part until I receive a notice of proposed settlement. At that time I would choose to be or not be part of the settlement class. Am I correct? Thanks in advance for your help.

If your received the bankruptcy notice you are in the Chesapeake pay records, meaning you may have unpaid royalties. The bankruptcy plus everyone working from home dose not making contact easier.
