Does anyone know any information about what is going on with the Omaha wells in Carter Co by Citation? I have received lots of court papers but I am unsure of what it all means.
[quote=“M_Barnes, post:3, topic:80749”] Welcome to the forum. Put the documents in order by case number and then by date order. They are drilling about 15-18 horizontals lined up like cigars. You will get paid on the wells that go through your acreage. At the back of the multi unit horizontal application, you can find the Exhibit with the well path for that case. You might find it helpful to make a spreadsheet with the well name and the predicted % of perforations in your section. Your division orders will all be slightly different due to the different percentage along each well path.
So just because we’ve received paperwork doesn’t necessarily mean we will get paid? The well has to run through our acreage?
They spaced most of the sections at 640, but maybe not all. Your acreage has to be in the spacing of the reservoir that the well passes through.
For example, here is Omaha 15-9-10-15XHW. 23% of the well is planned to go through the north half of 9 spaced at 320. 27% of the well is in the south half of 9 spaced at 320. 6% goes through 10 spaced at 640 amd 44% of the well goes through 15 spaced at 640. One of the other wells may go through 16, but not this one.
I have mineral rights in section 4-2s-3w so does that mean if it passes through that I receive money or could I own just part of that section. I’m confused if I am entitled to all of that section or just part of it.
If they spaced your section at 640 acres, then your smaller net acreage would be included in the spacing.
Case 2025-000051 Multi Unit Horizontal shows that the Omaha 11-4-9-10XHW will have 36% of the well in your section 4 spaced at 640.
You should have gotten case documents for wells that cross your section. 9-33-4-3-10XHW, 10-4-3-10XHW, 11-4-9-10XHW, 12-4-9-10XHM, 13-4-9-15XHW. #7 might have a tiny bit of 4 in the NE corner.
Yes, we did receive those case documents and recently a case document that was a special allowance for wells #7, 9-33-4-3-10XHW, 10-4-3-10XHW, 11-4-9-10XHW, 13-4-9-15XHW mentioning gas wells I believe.
The Omaha wells are in various stages of drilling & completion. There are multiple Omaha wells so it depends on which ones.
