Our current lease in Burke County is with Cobra. Is anyone having trouble with cobra? They did not pay us in April said the well was down in February. And now we’re not being paid in June because they said the well was down in April. Curious if they are in financial trouble or are there other issues in Burke County? Or just bad luck. Are well as part of East Flaxton Madison Unit
The lease I own is with Continental and they are still producing (fortunately) in Burke County 1-6H, Section 6. Have been told in the past as long as payment appears, a lease remains in effect. As you stated, perhaps it is bad luck with Cobra (sadly).
Back in the February/March timeframe though, distribution was 1/2 what it is showing now, ramped up due to world politics, etc. The cost to produce, like anything, has sky rocketed to include getting it to market (more or less).
Hope the issue resolves itself. In my past 10 years with Continental, they are generally pretty responsive if I direct questions to them. That I am grateful for!
Pretty sure Cobra isn’t in financial trouble. My experience with Cobra has been very positive, but it’s not in North Dakota. Spring is usually a bad time in ND. Here is what I see for total production from the EFMU since 2021. Table below. All of the wells. Jan-Feb 2022 wasn’t zero, but it was very low relative to normal. April data wasn’t available yet. I don’t know if its possible that low production means your share isn’t enough to hit the min for check ($100) so it gets rolled over?
Same issues in 2021 with low volumes in Feb/Apr.

I agree with statement by NMoilBoy…Continental has done the same thing with issuing royalties…that is, if under $100 they will wait until sufficient before mailing or direct deposit of royalties. Once it took 3 months but without this knowledge and questioning appears, it isn’t like they come out and tell anyone this.
Thank you guys. This is very helpful.
You can send in a new Division Order with the $100 crossed out and replace with $25. Some companies request a cover letter, so I send the whole packet by certified mail so that I know they received my request. I also attach the most recent W-9 available. Some have tried the “your W-9 is out of date” excuse, so make sure it is not the 2014 one.
