Does the completion report tell if you have a good or a great well ? is there an some indication one should look at?

It looks good but you need to see some long term production to know more . I am not sure what you are talking about when you say you have a slight chance to participate unless they left you out of the pooling. Production information comes from the state and runs a few months behind.

Just because the completion report looks good doesn't mean it will produce or that they will keep it producing. Our well showed 153 barrels of oil per day. The completion report also listed a decent amount of daily natural gas production. From the beginning there are some months where there is no oil production, some no gas production. Some months they may pump 200 barrels for the entire month and some gas but the amounts in no way reflect the completion report. A couple of months there was no production of anything. Then they take out taxes, marketing fees etc. That takes a big bite. So even if your completion production looks good don't get to excited.
