Family executive mineral rights in LLC’s of several thousand mineral acres (unexplored) in mid-Culberson County (Blocks 101 and 103) date back 100 years plus. Ownership is mostly east and south of Weatherby Road (unpaved at this time). I’ve monitored Culberson County OG development when it was low (2012) to present (concentrated in NE county). USGS publications suggest the Delaware Basin formations extend to our family holdings, depending on whether you look at the Bone Springs, Wolf Camp and other associated Delaware formations. State is in early stages of paving Road 2185 from NEC of Culberson to Van Horn for emergency services. Any thoughts on when/if we could expect activity in our area?
You can look up your area on the TX RR commission website and see where wells are located. Most of the current permits are up in the NE part of the county near the Eddy County border. Blocks 58, 59, 60, 61.
Yes, thank you Ms Barnes… I’ll do that. I think Mineral Answers has a similar thing. Basically 15 miles to the north, and 15 miles to the east. I’ve been counting sections for a bit now. I think I’m wondering if the best of the Delaware is in that region of the County, or is it more a matter of OG infrastructure (water delivery, pipelines, collection plants, etc having to be extended to the south and east, well by well, mile by mile. sjr
