Desha County, Arkansas leasing

Has anyone received any offers in Desha County ,Arkansas for leasing their mineral rights for lithium?

I have received offers in Columbia county, they aren’t much and the royalties are not much , compared to the oil and gas prices, what have you been offered? Also if you could please provide section township and range! Maybe we can get more information! Good luck

Litihium leases will not have the same royalty structure as oil and gas. Would recommend that you get a good mineral attorney to review any leases. I would not sign any of the drafts that I have seen so far. The type of well is also important as it depends upon whether the surface owner owns the pore space from brine from a saline acquifer or whether the operator or mineral owner owns the brine coming off an oil and gas well. Rules vary from state to state.

We have several plots in Desha County that are not leased. Fractional NE1/4 of NW1/4 of Section 6(41.48 acres) Fractional NW1/4 of NW1/4 Section 6 (42 acres) in Township 13 South, Range 2 West, and the SW1/4 of Section 31, Township 12 south, Range 2 West, 5th P.M. containing in all 243.48 acres. Also a undivided 15/16 interest in the North Half of the Southwest quarter N1/2 of Sw1/4 and all the south half(s1/2) of the Southwest Quarter SW1/4 all in Section 6, Township 13 South, Range 2 west of the 5th Principal Meridian containing 135 acre.

The Desha county side of Arkansas has not been very popular. A bunch of old dry holes. And looks like a bit too far north for the main Smackover trend for the lithium.
