Hi. We inherited minerals rights on this property T22S-R26E Sec. 1 and 2. We received an offer and it originally indicated we owned .5 acres of rights. But when the official paperwork came in it was much much smaller. To the point where we don’t feel it’s even work it to sign. Is it that they only want that small piece, or did they overestimate how much it was to begin with? Any help appreciated.
We also inherited mineral property in s1 & s2 22s 26e & the lease offer seems too small. A co-owner of the lease also agrees that it’s possible that the company is using the tax parcel size & not including the 1/2 of the abutting streets that he thinks should be included. I don’t know how to check this. Any advice is welcome! MEM
Before being too quick to sell, be aware that there are quite a few permits for those two sections. Just filed in January 2025. Most offers to buy come before drilling.
How did you find that information? I’m still trying to figure out how much we actually own. I emailed the company who made the offer, but they haven’t responded.
