Discovering Minerals on inherited property

Parents left property/land in WV and I recall father always saying to retain mineral rights. How do I find out if there are any minerals or other potential assets before selling the property? One has been used as timber income so perhaps retaining rights to that future income but I haven’t a clue how to find out. Prefer not to sell these potential rights and blindly give them away. The county has no records nor do the deeds say anything about what may be contained fr9m within the land.
