My Dad recently passed away and in my grandparents will they left mineral interest, which are leased and producing, which was to pass not to my Dad but on his death to pass to me and my 3 brothers. What steps do we need to take to get the mineral interest divided and the leases divided?
You will need to file for probate in the state you own those minerals in. Your attorney that does the probate will take care of all the proper documents needed to take care of ownership transfer

If in Oklahoma, a probate will probably be required. Texas may have some other options.
