Doddridge County, WV - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

I called the Antero Ellenboro for some info. The girl gave me two Denver number and names: Michelle, who sends out royalty checks at 303-357-7337 .She supposedly would know if royalties are being held until 2014. and Barb Tucker who knows which wells are being drilled at 303-303-357-7310. I received no answer to either call despite waiting to call at the time change in Denver. I seriously doubt if I will ever get an answer. Maybe someone else will have better luck than I did.

Mike, Thanks for responding. I have several leases that have been permitted, the one that I referenced earlier is the Holden Well on Morgan’s Run. Wells that I am interested in are Valentine #1&2, and piggott both on pads owned by john Davis located in Central Map 4&7. Wilhelm 1&2, and Maple, these are on a pad in Central district and owned by Mary Brown Map 6, there will be several wells on this pad. Ok, any info on these would be helpful, but I don’t want YOU running around on your time chasing rainbows, just any ole piece of info would be monstrous.

Thanks

Arnold

Antero usually does up to 8 wells in one spot. One in each direction.

Can anyone help with finding out the status of three leases signed in 2012 and 2013. All three are in Central District, Doddridge County. The first is for 63.05 acres, parcels 16-17, will book 7, map 4. The second was signed on Jan. 20, 2013, 50.50 acres, parcels 29-30 and 31.1 -28 will book 7, map 4, All I know about the third is that it was signed on Aug. 29, 2013. It is located at Wilhelms Creek.

Lee, I also have a small interest in some of those wells, The permit # is 47-017-6142H6A the landowner is Jonathan Davis. Located in Central District. I believe one well is complete maybe 2, they would be the Valentine #1-2. another well is the piggott well. When I was in Doddridge in Sept of 2013, the piggott well had not started production yet. I believe that there is a glitch (some folks not signing leases), this is heresay so don’t quote me. If you find anything different, please let me know.

Nicole, When you went to the Weekly Reports and clicked on the permits for Antero and Doddidge ( assuming) your lease was in Doddridge did you scroll down to where the map was? If your lease was permitted you will find your map# and Section # providing it has been permitted. post some map# partial # and District, and perhaps someone on this forum can help, its free

Nicole, WHAT A COINCIDENCE, I also have interest in that plat, Two difference lots, one for 69 acres the other for 72 acres, I have a total of around 35-36 acres royalty interest. These lots are located in carders Camp in New Milton District, both lot’s borders Snider, Maxwell, Gribble, and Gribble-Snider. I signed leases in 2012 and have not seen a permit issued as yet, SO NOW WE CAN BOTH BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THAT PERMIT. KEEP CHECKING THE WEEKLY REPORT. One day we might get lucky. I want nothing more than to see Antero DRILL, DRILL, DRILL. NICOLE I have to go out of town early Friday, but will be back late Sat. hope to talk to you soon.

Thanks Nancy. I finally was able to locate the Central Station area where I believe my leases may b using the topo map . There were only two wells in that location but both were Equitable wells. I’ll try the assessor’s office next week.

Arnold I know both of those places. Email me an then I can talk more. Wvufanatic01@aol.

Honestly all wells may have been drilled. However I was told they wouldn’t start working them till 2014 cause of tax purposes.

Arnold, it is Tax Map 14 and Parcel 21 in Doddridge County. Thank you and also thank you Nancy for your response. You are always very helpful.

Mary Lee Shinn Scalf, in comparing maps it looks like 017-06141 and 017-06142 and probably others go through your Center district map 4 parcels 16-17. These same seem to go through the other parcels you mentioned as well. http://tagis.dep.wv.gov/oog/ is the place to go to put these numbers in and see if you recognize the area.

As a general comment, for anyone with just oil and gas ownership, no surface, and you don’t know exactly where you interests are geographically, but have a lease with map and parcel numbers, you can contact the county assessor’s office and ask to buy a tax map for your district and map number. You might need an index map for the district and a county map to locate this within the county. I have an (expensive!) subscription to a service that buys this info from the assessors and makes it available for a fee. I am still trying to get some things sorted out for my sister and me in Ritchie and have found this to be worth it to us but not everybody would need this.

As I am seeing it, comparing maps, the wells 017-06076, 017-06082, 017-06152 and 017-06054 are either next to or in New Milton Map 14 parcel 21. 017-06174 comes from a different direction. There are others in the area.

Use this http://tagis.dep.wv.gov/oog/

to try these and see if they look right.

Nancy, The permits that you posted on could be close, but none of the permits have a 14-21, If you have map of New Milton District you will see Carder’s Camp, and 14-21 is in that area. Since I have 35 acres of the 140 some odd acres I get pretty excited when I see a permit for New Milton district , the first thing I do when seeing these permits is to check the Map and Parcels, also who the Royalty Interest go to, with 35 acres you would think it would be obvious that my name would appear on the permit. I want to thank you for researching the different permits, and I do believe that you are close, just not there yet. Again, this is called sharing, and it’s getting better, there is no dumb question here, we all have a lot to learn.

Mr. Stuart, Excuse my confusion over the picture. Thank you for sending it. I could not read the numbers but was able to take note of the Piggott name. Thanks again.

I posted this first a couple of day’s ago, and I used your middle name LEE, I am so sorry for the error, but you know " I am old".

Mary: I am trying to send you a picture of the well site. What you will see is signs with the permit numbers and names. I almost got chased out of the pad, they thought I was a enviro, Had to prove that I had royalty interest so I was able to take pics.

Mr Stuart was good enough to find lease numbers and map location but I still can’t locate it on that topo.! I’m sure that I am doing something wrong, but I’ll keep working it. BUT all of this is such great information. Mary, I got a callback from Denver back in December, but they really didn’t give me any solid information. Hold tight, though. You have more information than I did at the time. Thanks to Nancy for the tax stamp information and the assessors office may be the best place for me to start.

Arnold, Thank you for the information. I need to research my lease copies again. Also I’m going to speak to assessor and request a map. When I have completed the the research with help from a family member who is also involved I’ll pass it along. Again, thanks for your help.
