Doddridge County, WV - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Thanks Kyle. I will talk with your suggestion to my sisters. Plus how do we know the royalities are correct. None of us live in WVA

Linda, don’t feel bad, I signed my lease for the Holden Well in Aug of 2009.

Thanks. If we ever see any money I will be surprised.

Antero’s been taking their sweet time paying royalties. They say they are doing final calculations to make sure they have everyone’s interest correct. They’ll get your royalties out to you if you bug them enough, though. I had to go through this with one of my clients in the last few weeks. If Antero continues to be stubborn, give me a call and we’ll send them a letter. Attorney letterhead gets them moving. Sorry to say it, because it really shouldn’t be that way, but it’s the way it is.

No yet Linda. I have a note to call the folks in Colorado at the end of July based on a conversation I had with them in December. Apparently we are drilled but no royalties yet to anyone in my family. We’re all in Doddridge…Meathouse Fork, Brushy Fork

Thanks Jacqueline. I was told also that they drilled in December. I live in Florida and have no idea what is going on are you any relation to the Langfitt family.

Linda, I do not know the Langfitt family, but i do know there is a well called the Langfitt unit #2, the api is 47-17-06204, and is next door to the Holden Well that I have interest in on Morgan’s Run Grant District. The Holden Well was Completed in Dec-Jan, and like everyone else, waiting for a check.

Thanks Arnold. So no one has gotten any checks yet. Interesting. I signed the lease 3 years ago.

Why were they in a big hurry to sign the lease? However the landman I talked with has been very nice since I signed the lease. Did anyone get a pooling letter?

Linda, the check stub will include a break down of how they calculate the royalties, with things like total production, your acreage, your percentage of the unit, price paid for the gas, and any deductions they take out. It can be confusing, but Google and this forum will be helpful.

Can anyone tell me anything about the Cove District on the waters of the Sycamore in Doddridge?

Just wanted to share that I had a conversation with Antero in CO today and they were very forthcoming with the details they have so far in relation to my wells. I was told that the title opinions were sent to the attorney in January and typically takes 6-9 months to complete and that after two of the three units where I have an interest have had first sales in July. The third is drilled but not yet had a first sale. Once the title opinion is complete, royalties will be calculated and checks can be expected 2-3 months after. I must say that there were very polite and seemed genuinely pleased to help. The number I called was 303-357-6405. I left a message and got a return call within a day. Just wanted to share the information.

Jacqueline, I have made the same call within the last couple of day’s and received the same info as you, I was also told that if I had royalty coming that Antero would " pay". I also received a call back the same day. May I ask you what district your interest is in?? The person that I talked to in Denver was Katelyn, her # is 304 357 7310. Again thanks for sharing.

Linda, I am not sure if you are talking about the state holding unclaimed royalties from mineral owners that could not be found? Here is an article about that and links to check the various states below: http://www.mineralweb.com/owners-guide/opportunities-for-all/unclai…

Can anyone explain what it means to be put in petition to get royalties and have those royalties are paid by the state instead of Antero. I was told they could. Not locate enough heirs. Is this procedure complicated and even worth pursuing. Thanks

Yes. They have been very nice and helpful to me also. I am just trying to find out about this petition thing. Caitlin at Antero told me about the petition. I guess the State is holding the royalties. Thanks. Linda

I spoke with LindseyI. And I am in New Milton District. And I know nothing of the petition! Oh No! Is there something we should be doing about that? I guess that is part of the reason the title searches takes so long…titles have always been an issue in WVA. But maybe it is only pertains if all the heirs can’t be found?

Thanks Stephanie. I think that is what I am talking about
