I have often asked myself will my first horizontal well check be retroactive?? I just got off the phone with a person that has been receiving checks from Antero, and yes, her first check (after waiting 9months) was retroactive, 9 months worth.
Bertie: yes there is a lot going on in Central, Clay Lick run. I do not know what NPLR is, so unable to help you, perhaps if you know the map and partial # where your interest is someone on this forum can help. Has anyone contacted you about leasing??
Arnold, I can confirm based off my experiences with Antero and a client.
Lula Mae Gray, I can’t say there’s a cause/effect relationship. But there does seems to be some association. I’d say that if that were the case, there would be a lot more earthquakes in Harrison and Doddridge counties. Just a guess. Like I said, I haven’t studied it yet.
THANKS kyle, The person that I talked with is Trustworthy.
Yes thanks Eleanor! a lot to be learned there.
Thanks for the link Eleanor! Good info
I have not been on this group in a while, is there any activity in Central dist, Dodd Co.? My family has NPLR. need to know if it has been leased. Description is on waters on Clay Lick Run of Arnold’s Creek.
Eleanor, thanks for posting the link to that video. I think it is clearly stated in there what we mineral owners need to be doing with our property.
I may not have the correct NPLR, but we are Non particapating Royalty owners, we own the royalty, but because of the deal my grandfather made many many years ago, we do not have leasing right. If the other parties that have leasing rights, sign a lease we will receive royalty payments, but will not receive a bonus for leasing, Am I sayingcorrectly, Kyle Nuttal?? I believe this has been leased before, we get a check twice a yr from Key Oil Co/ Hays and Co, but I don’t have a map and parcel #. I have called Key Oil and they do not return my calls.
Was wondering if somone can help on this? Map 23 Parcel 16. There is a lease however they missed 5 people. An I know Anyero is wanting to drill a Marsellus wells. I think they will have to give me everything I want sense it’s already leased by everyone but 5. Is this right? An if so what should I ask for?? I already said just Marsellus only an they tried to slip Utica in as well. But I stopped that. Was wondering if I should ask for the same price as Utica in Ohio. 25k a acre. I’m lost. Lol
Bertie, I am glad you brought this up as my Grandfather purchased 51ac in Tom’s Fork (mineral rights) but he did not get leasing rights, however , according to the deed we still have the Royalty rights, the partial was leased and a permit was issued, so hopefully you are right and we will still get the royalty. map #15, partial 3-4. Tom’s Fork. Hopefully Kyle can answer this question>
I think Kyle is on vacation. May be a couple weeks before he sees this.
I believe you are correct about a non participating royalty owner being able to collect royalties but not be involved with leasing including collecting leasing bonus money.
Bertie, do you know the other mineral owners? If so you could contact them. If you want, I can look them up on the service I subscribe to. You and I are already “friends” so you can send me a message.
Mike: I think even if most of the people have leased, that doesn’t mean that they will give you everything. They have threats they make, or so I have heard, if you hold out too much.
I think Utica in Ohio is more proven than in WV but from what i have read Doddridge is supposed to be in a good Utica place. Probably can’t get what they get in Ohio but if you don’t ask you won’t know.
I am NOT a lawyer so don’t take my word for it ! I just read a lot on this and other websites.
Thanks Nancy, I have a call in to Katelyn in Denver about another matter, I will ask her to find out.
Nancy: I will get 15%. SOMETIME.
Nancy: Question, pertaining to my previous post on having royalty rights but not being able to lease per deed. Someone has leased to Antero 47-017 06353, 06362,06366. My question is since I was not able to negotiate a % what is the law on what % I will get when these wells are drilled??
Good 1uestion Arnold. I don’t know but I expect it would be the same as the party with leasing rights. Maybe somebody knows for sure. We have a property with that nonparticipating status and we get the 1/8 but this is from the 70s.
Nancy: Just got off the phone with Katelyn, the party that leased to Antero negotiated for 15% royalty, so I got my answer. Katelyn spent 20 minutes on the phone with me going through the history of this partial, Wow, what a bundle of info she has at her fingertips if anyone on this forum has a question about their interest ( deed, lease etc) I would recommend calling her.
Thanks for that update Arnold. So, what IS the answer? do you get the negotiated 15%? Katelyn sounds like the right one to talk with for sure!
That is good to know. Hope you have a lot of patience!
Haha Arnold so true.
