Doddridge County, WV - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Thanks jim. No one can give a straight answer. I guess our royalities are being paid into a receiver for Doddrige cty

Linda, not sure what you mean by paid into a receiver?

I am new to this also. I am trying to learn

Hi Arnold. How can I sign up as your friend. I have leases tax bills etc from my Mom. Thanks for your help. I live in florida so it hard to know what is going on

Thanks Kyle! good information.

Does anyone know if they are drilling or doing anything around Little Flint, Wisemans Run, or Ned’s run?

Oh by the way I am in the Mccellen district

Dawn: I have seen several permits for Little Flint, but that’s a large area. If you have interest in that area , a map and partial NO. would be helpful, maybe even a farm name.

Is there still any landowners groups in Doddridge / Tyler? I’m looking for answers without going into debt with lawyers.

I own both land an mineral rights in Doddridge county. Either you need to know a lot of info by yourself or pay the little money for a lawyer. It’s well worth the money.

Is there any activity in the Cabin Run or Leason Run area of Central District? My dad has mineral rights there and has received an offer to purchase. Wondering whether we should consider the offer or hang on to the rights.

Looks like a lot of permits, Laurie Roberts, in the Cabin Run and Leason Run vicinity. If you are familiar with Doddridge geography, go here

vhttp://tagis.dep.wv.gov/fogm/

and zoom in until you see US 50 in Doddridge. Just south of the highway, on the west side of the county, east of Pennsboro (in Ritchie County) you will find these runs. See all the red star things and orange lines. The red are well pads and wells, and the orange are the horizontal legs going under the surface.

Hope that works.

If someone lives near there, please let us know what you observe.

Laurie: I can give you one example of a well that has been permitted, it’s called the Leeson Run unit 1H and the permit #-API # is 47-017-06474. It was permitted 05-14-2014.

Thank you, Nancy and Arnold, for the specific information you shared. It is quite helpful. Any additional observations from anyone about what is going on in that area would be much appreciated.

Somebody shared this on a different threat, a link to the website where you can look up and view documents in Doddridge County

http://129.71.205.241/

Laurie, you can go to this

https://apps.dep.wv.gov/oog/permitlist_new.cfm

and select Doddridge for the county and “Leason” for the well number. There will be 2 wells, different dates for the different activities.

Then go here

http://www.dep.wv.gov/oil-and-gas/GI/Pages/WeeklyReports.aspx

and check week that includes 5/1/2014 (when permits approved) to find more info including a plat for each well.

Yoda, the actual unsigned leases or was it memorandum of leases? I can’t personally see them recording unsigned leases.

can anyone tell me how to find out how many acres I have that are not leased? I have five mineral leases and all have small portions leased. I may want to sell some of the acres that are left or I may decide to sell one of the parcels that are leased. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You much. Mary Lee Scalf - also, what would be an appropriate payment in either case> Scalf

Ms Scalf, do you know what acreage you have mineral interests on, in total?

Do the leases you have mention which larger acreage they are part of?

Nancy, the total comes to 295, two 80 ac., one 64, one 21, 50. I will check later to see if I can find an answer the second question. Thanks much. Mary Lee S.
