Here's some statistics I compiled from the Texas RR site using the links below.
2013 - 10 permits issued so far
2012 - 26 permits issued, 3 of which have reported producing oil between Jan and May 2013.
2011 - 33 permits issues, 3 of which have reported producing oil between Jan and May 2013.
So out of 69 permits to drill in the last three years there are only six leases that are producing any oil. (I reserve the right to have made a mistake in how I read the data.) :-)
