Drilling Activity?

Just received two unsolicited offers for our mineral interest in 14N 7W S1. Anyone know of any activity in the area that might be generating this interest?

Given that there are several permits for multi section infill drilling in in 14N-7W, this is why you are getting offers. Ovintiv is the operator on those sets of wells. Your section 1 and 36/25 to the north of it do not yet have infill wells, so I suspect that several someones know something. The current wells are also by Ovintiv, so time will tell.

Ms. Barnes,

Would this include Section 36 14N 6W? That is where Ovintiv currently has a well that goes into my farm. It’s the B&H MUEGGENBORG 1406 1H-25X Sec: 25 TWP: 14N RGE: 6W County: CANADIAN

I would think that they will get around to drilling those infill wells involving those three sections eventually with 1-14N-6W and 36/25-15N-6W.

Dewayne, your sections are four and five miles to the south of Rusty’s. Those sections have their parent well, the Mueggenborg and have room for infill wells.

You were spot on as always Martha. OCC sent us copies of Ovintiv’s applications for a multiunit horizontal well, increased well density and to amend the drilling and spacing units in S1-14N-7W and S25/36-15N-7W. The offers are filling up our mailbox. Seems we might be better off waiting to see if the permits are approved and possibly, the wells are drilled and producing.

Love it when a hunch comes true!
