Just found this forum! Would like to hear news about the above section, if anyone has it. Got an application for an emergency order to drill in early August. A subsequent court document says its a horizontal well in this area. Does anyone know if it is producing anything? I would assume it was thought to be a very "hot" spot if they applied for an "emergency order" w/ trucks sitting on the site ready ??
Viciky, I think the sudden interest in Sect12, 20N, 6E is related to a big oil discovery in Sect1, 20N, 6E. This is the section just north of Sect 12, 20N, 6E. Here is the link to a press release by from New Gulf Resources.

They have reported oil production rates of over 400 BOPD from the initial well. If the request was make in early August, they may be drilling by now but I doubt if there is any actual production from the well yet. Do you know who requested the emergency drilling order? I wonder if it was New Gulf Resources?
Vicky accorinding to the OCC website there has not been a drilling permit issued for 12-20N-6E but New Gulf Resources has filed for a horizontal drilling well in that section plus a location exception and a pooling order, all cases to be heard on 9-04-2012. This is the starting stages for getting a well drilled and from our experience in Grady County you could see a well drilled in about 6 months to a year. I see you live in Harrison Ark. My wife and i worked about ten years ago at the Baptist Boys Ranch just outside of town as house parents.
Thank you both! Yes, about a month ago, I got that weird request for an emergency order to drill, slated for Aug 20 hearing, I think. About a week and a half ago, something with a proposal for a horizontal well that looked like it covered several, several sections. Sounds promising, but these oil and mineral rights have passed through 3, possibly 4 generations of family with never any net worth, so I will remain reserved until I actually get a CHECK! I believe my lease bonus between that and another section (12-20N-7E) was less than 20 dollars, lol... hardly worth notarizing!
Vicky,
The Privett #1-1H was drilled from the corner of section 1 diagonally SE through section 12 with a bottom hole location just north of the center of the south line of section 12. New Gulf is waiting on frac equipment to begin the completion operations.
It's producing 140 BOPD with 4,000 BWPD. They are not ready to final the completion as they suspect it will improve.
Thanks!
