Can someone explain the meaning of listing multiple fields on the drilling permit? Does that mean a stronger possibility for mineral discovery?
Multiple fields means that the well could be drilled through multiple formations. They go by the formations that have been found in surrounding wells. The Railroad commission has set rules for different fields/formations. More formations does mean a stronger possibility for discovery however they usually have a formation in mind that they are going after.
