Hi, Assume an oil well has been completed in more than one zone of production. Since we have multiple zone complet- ion, does this mean we also have “down hole comingle” of production?
Thanks, Austin Wright

Yes you do unless the operator has a pressure, water, or gas in solution problem and needs to produce the zones separately . If the zones are already naturally communicating, its a good way to go until one zone becomes uneconomic. If you are a working interest owner, its going to get expensive either way. Hope for offset wells that eliminate the commingling if it has becomes a production problem for the operator.
