I was told my minerals have little to no value as they abut I70 and drilling isn’t/hasn’t been done thru there so I’m in a dead zone. is this true?
My cousin tells me EQT has stop making his lease payments and he can’t seem to reach them, that they may have pulled out… we don’t know for sure what is going on.
You can drill under I-70. Look at the area near Cambridge, Ohio. A $10,000.00 fee to the state for the paper work, etc.
General answer is no. State law changed in the 60’s. Most acquisitions by the state were “ in fee” after that point and not just a right-of-way over lands privately owned. State currently prohibits drilling under interstate highways. Current drilling units, proposed and actual typically abut the state owned property to the north and south.
