Drilling verification map

I have several mineral right locations in Johnston county and Atoka county. Is there a free link to got to in order to verify drilling? Also at one point I one of the areas in Johnston county was being drilled by XTO. They of course sold that to BNK. It took me several years to get any money from them. This might help you understand why I want to follow them. The last contact I had from them was in 2015. I’m not sure if the well is still producing or not. (T4S S5E and several sections, Also T4S 5E and several sections there as well. I’ve a couple of other questions if someone could help, I’d like to ask if there is a free site to check and see if or how much I may be owed or what they are producing if so.
And last, is there a site that can easily explain the Township, Section, and ranges (those that happen to say 1/3 NE for example). Thank you for your time and patience in reading all my inquiries!

Hi Indigo, here are a couple of useful & free links: https://otcportal.tax.ok.gov/gpx/gp_displayPublicPUNListSearchDownload.php http://wellbrowse.occ.ok.gov/ For information on the township range system, you might search for description or history of PLSS ( Public Lands Survey System)

Here is a good article on the PLSS system.

When you use the the OCC well records site Test, hunt for Form 1000 which is the permit. Frequently, there is map at the end, but not always-the planned pathway. Also look for the Survey data which may have a well plat. That is the actual pathway after the well is drilled.

The Gross production tax site listed by PeteR will tell if there is production in the last 12 months (with a four month or so lag). You can search by well name or by the location. I have found that searching for the bottom hole location first seems to work for most horizontal wells.

There is no site that will tell you what you are owed. But… you can calculate the decimal amount that should be on the division order using the following equation.

net acres/actual spacing acres x royalty x percentage of perforations in your section. The reason I say “actual spacing” is that many horizontal wells are spaced at 640 acres but not all sections are actually 640 acres, so the actual area of the section is used. (sections 1-6, 7, 18, 19, 30 & 31 are slightly different to account for the curvature of the earth in the surveying)

The operator will have a Division Order title opinion which is done for each well which traces the title of each of the hundreds or thousands of owners which assigns the decimal. Your lease or forced pooling has the royalty. You need to know your net acres or ask them what they are carrying for you.
