Dry and abandoned, but producing again?

I’m looking at info about two wells on the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission’s website that are the only two wells that I see in my sections:

Oil Well #1 - API 03-027-00556-00-00 Completed 8/14/1944, same day deemed “Dry and Abandoned” As of 1/25/2023 it says that there is “Controlled Production” (Vertical)

Oil Well #2 - API 03-027-11084-00-00 Completed 6/22/1983, same day deemed “Dry and Abandoned” Same situation, As of 1/25/2023 it says that there is “Controlled Production” (Vertical)

A couple of questions:

  1. Have I really stumbled upon 70+ and 40+ year-old wells that have begun producing a couple of days ago for their first time ever or am I misreading this info?
  2. If they are producing, is there a resource where I can find out their levels of production?

They’re about as far from me as they can be in my sections, but I’m looking for hope in a haystack you might say.

Thank yall for any insight here, Nick

Don’t think you’re misreading it so much as the commission system strangely populates some of the fields. Both of these wells are plugged. Palmer Petroleum (Oil & gas exploration, acquisition & development companies) was listed as the operator if you want to call and pick their brain, but I don’t know if they’ll remember poking around here in the early 80’s lol
