My mother and aunt have a number of mineral interests in Canadian County, OK. However, At 83 yrs. my mom is showing some signs of fatigue with offers, letters, court documents etc. and admittedly doesn’t understand much of it. I am committed to take it on. My siblings and I will inherit these interests one day. I really appreciate the information and knowledge from reading this forum. Keep up the good work.
Good for you! Make sure you get the files in really good order, have mom get a very clear estate plan in how to pass the minerals on. If you are new, the Mineral Help tab above and the BLOGS Category is helpful. Also set your watch list to include the NARO category. National Association of Mineral Owners. They will be having some town hall meetings across OK in the next few months. The National Convention of NARO will be held in OKC next year in October. Great way to get educated with their Mineral Owner classes which are taught at the conventions. Ask tons of questions!
