I was using the following site to get information on some mineral rights that I inherited: https://wellbrowse.occ.ok.gov/
That site no longer works. Although it had some quirks and didn’t seem to be being updated very much, it actually did a LOT. If you wanted to find all of the wells in a particular township and range, you could easily do that. Or all the wells in a county operated by a single company. Or search for a well by name and be able to get all documentation on it.
You can’t do that any more. The thing that seemed to replace it has broken links, etc. It won’t tell me all of the wells that Heller Oil started in a particular location. The old one would.
Any suggestions on how I would go about finding out what Heller Oil is doing, for example?
Here is the newer one which seems to take longer and the display is not as friendly. Some wells will be in both data bases, but the newer one has the newer permits and completion reports.
Thanks. I found this. It is good for getting the documents, but not for lots of other stuff that the old one would do, I think. I need to poke around some more.
The thing that started all this was checking to see what Heller Oil was up to. They signed a lease with us last year and I just wanted to see what was going on.
Last time I used it a few months ago, some parts worked and some parts did not. They were mostly links that tied to the corporation commission that can be found directly.
If you want to know activity around you, just post a question in that county and give the township and folks can help out.
