I own mineral rights, 360 acres in South East Laramie County, WY. State land was just leased nearby - within 4 to 5 miles for $500/acre. Same company that purchased state lease is offering to lease to us but I was told that typically state land leases for a higher price than individual owned acres. Is this true and how much of a price difference should I expect? Need to come up with an asking amount but have no idea of what to ask? Anyone have any helpful insight?
Your far north of the “action” in laramie county. For the area you own in, i would guess people would be offering $50-$100 per acre. I would not expect much more since theres nothing going on in the township, and no production/permitting close by.
