Brand new to this forum and need to learn a lot. To start with: my wife has in her possession three bearer bonds for mineral right to properties in ea of North Dakota, Wyoming and Oklahoma. The only information as to what the properties are are what I take is the owner’s name, county and state. How do I trace from that limited information to find today’s land ID and if there has been any mineral extraction?
@farmer6616 If you’re looking for what’s been extracted go to each state’s Oil & Gas Commission websites.
This is Wyoming’s WOGCC - Oil & Gas Resources
OK has a useful site to track names. www.okcountyrecords.com
It is free to look and requires a small fee to print. I used the advanced search option as it narrows data down a bit better. That site is for the legal records.
The OK Corporation Commission has the well info. Test.
The OK Tax site has production. https://oktap.tax.ok.gov/oktap/web/_/#4
The ND site is: https://www.dmr.nd.gov/oilgas
