Does anyone have any info on what is happening in this section 27-1N-3W - regarding future drilling? I see some interesting regulatory activity…looks like Ovintiv is cutting out a portion of section 27…Any info would be helpful.

Ovintiv has removed from the unit, the N/2 NE/4 & N/2 SE/4 NE/4. So Section 27 will have 540 acres with the 640 acres from Section 34. They have no filed any pooling application yet, to my knowledge. I believe plans are for 5 Mitzi wells, 3 in the Sycamore & 2 in the Woodford.

Where do you look to determine if there will be future drilling in an area?
Depends upon where you are. Posting the section, township and range on the forum may get help. Increased leasing, filing of OCC cases, operator presentations, word on the street.
