Future production estimates

How would i find someone to help me with future production estimates for 15 wells that will be drilled in my spacing unit soon. Trying to get solid estimates on future EURs per well. Obviously happy to pay a professional landman, or more likely a production engineer to get me some numbers. Thx

Pecan Tree can help you with the estimates. Tracy is a petroleum engineer. See the Directories tab above under Mineral Evaluation. Remember, they are just estimates.

Tracy is great. Not trying to undercut tracy but also haven’t seen her here in a bit, so if you don’t hear from her and it’s Permian or Bakken I can do it for the price of a QT Diet DP in probably 10 mins. Assuming this is for your own personal edification/eval…if its a reserve report for a bank then that’s something else. I’m not a professional engineer, but I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Somewhat ironically production engineers don’t really forecast production, they just coordinate the folks who make sure it’s happening. And play golf.

I once installed some gas lift valves in the morning, and played 18 in the afternoon. Then I estimated how much oil the well would make the next month - since it made 99% water and 1% oil - like it had been doing for the previous 20 years. I was really really close on my prediction. Perhaps I am a production and reservoir engineer, no?

I’d guess to figure out which one you were we’d need to look at your paycheck

Cheers… only place I ever worked with 99% WC gas lift valves it took a helicopter to get back to the golf course.

Were u able to predict future production on wells that havent even been drilled yet smart ass?

Laugh. We are all good here. If you give me the well list or unit I’ll give you an expected prod profile. Assuming it’s somewhere that I have data.

Fjones is correct, it’s not really some secret skill, nobody is doing any third order differential equations here, it’s just grouping and pattern recognition math and data accessibility. Based off of similar…zone, spacing, operator, length, frac, etc…offset results.
