So does this mean that if no production reported by this next summer that my 3 year lease would be up for renewal or re leasing? Just a thought!

I’m sort of guessing, but have been watching production in one area in Payne where there is a cluster of test wells and production fell off dramatically in the test wells when they started producing some of the newer wells. These fields were drilled out and heavily produced years ago and the pressures are so low now that I would have to think enhanced oil recovery is a must. Not to worry, the new types of EOR technology are a blessing.

Virginia, Higher taxes may become a consideration in high expense areas development. You may be right about selling some wells on test records. “Oklahoma oil man George Kaiser is breaking with fellow energy executives in asking the state to raise taxes on oil companies, including his own.”

Virginia Maybe this will help if you don’t have it.

Does anyone know why Devon is taking so long to complete a well and get it producing? Also why are the building pads without spacing orders? Seems they are doing things backwards.

Virginia,

Same experience here concerning Devon customer service, basically non existent.Have wells completed 2/28 and no division orders yet and no devon response to phone calls.Believe they have until 8/28 to issue divisions before they start violating OCC rules.

Linda

Linda,

Is your well being produced? They are completing lots of wells and not pumping them. Have they sold oil off your well? The 6 months is from the first sale of oil or gas, not when the well came in.

The only thing I am coming up with is they may be trying to sell the wells as producing wells by the test records and not the production records. Maybe someone on this forum will have the answer.

I did get a response from their customer services, but they could only tell me that the well is finished in 23-21N-3W, nothing else. No production records.

I have read where there all wells placed on a confidential status, and have wondered at times if this could be the situation. This is the only well I’ve ever had or been lucky enough to deal with, this is a learning experience and I have saw where wells have come and gone been tested and already produced way ahead of ours. There is definitely a hold up somewhere, just not for sure where. I did place a call to Devon once, but no return call was made to me. Time will tell I guess.

I don’t think they are required to sent a D.O. Most do They are required to make payment withn 6 months of date of first sale which is listed on completion report or pay 12% interest. If they don’t pay because something is wrong with your title it it 6%. You will have to ask for the interest .

I am wondering if I’ve missed the test records then, We have been told by the Corporation Commission that they are not producing yet, which I can understand, but I have waited non patiently for the well completion reports with the test #'s nothing ! I was so pleased when Devon purchased my lease from Limestone Corporation, because of the size of Devon I thought that is a very good thing. Now I am wondering…

Ron,

Thank you very much. I never saw the Modify Interim order 624602. Wonder where they mailed it too.

Again, thank you

Virginia

Is Long fellow energy active in this area.

Looking on the Corporation Commission, I did finally see where most of the surrounding wells in S. E. Garfield County were finally showing they were fracked, those that were Devons. That is a little improvement on the reporting. May be a false hope, but still it is hope.

Ron,

These wells where drilled in Feb. and completed a couple months later. They started out on 1280 A spacing. There is no completion report or sale report, my title is clear. Now Devon is going back and changing some of the spacing on a couple of sections. This maybe the 4th time they have been to OCC for spacing on this property. I did get a return call from Devon only to be told the well was completed, but they couldn’t give me any information other than that. I wonder if they got into different carbon than what they spaced or if they are trying to sell the wells on test records. I think there may be a fault near this area because on one side the wells are good and the other side lots of water. I haven’t seen any records on this, so it’s only a guess on my part.

Deborah,

Hope you have a shut in clause in your lease. We may be able to use that in a few more months if your lease ran out before they made the pad.

Ron, you are right that OK Statue does not require DO compliance and Virginia you are right about the lease shut in clause. OK Statute Section 570.11 - Division Order Defined “A division order is executed to enable the first purchaser of the production or holder of proceeds to make remittance of proceeds directly to the owners legally entitled thereto and does not relieve the lessee of any liabilities or obligations under the oil and gas lease.”

This is a good site on Multi unit.

Anything going on close to 8-20n-5w in garfield county.

If they raise the taxes, that will probably kill some of the oil drilling. I think Oklahoma has enough government without more taxes. If it wasn’t for OK state income tax, I may even live their.
