I've been getting lease offers in Garvin 22-1N-1W from $435 to $1500 net acre. Curious what other companies are offering. The higher amount is from a company that actively pursues leasing & acquisitions. I'm not interested in selling any mineral interests.
I also have minerals in 22-1n-1w and I received a leasing offer some months back for $1,900 per acre. Unfortunately, I couldn't jump on it because I signed a 3-year lease two years ago for $350 per acre. Have also received many offers to buy minerals just in the last 6 months. The activity has picked up in our section so something's going on...
Received another letter. This one from Continental Resources. They are proposing to drill the "Havens" well across sections 22-1N-1W and 23-1N-1W. Must be a big well.
Right now I'm trying to find out info about a letter my cousins in California, Georgia and Florida received offering 3 options and something about us providing money up front to drill. My elderly aunt (the last of the children living from my grandfather's family) also lives in California but she didn't receive anything. So she called me to see if I had received a letter (no). A cousin in CA thinks it's "fishy" so the family is deciding whether to get a lawyer or not. They're sending me a photocopy, so am waiting for that. So how did you find out about the "havens" well???

I received a letter in the mail from Continental Resources. If you didn't receive a letter, call the company.
Will do so....thanks!
Last Friday my husband and I went driving around. We drove south on 3210 south of Brady to a road that cut across through Sections 14 and 13 (T1N, R1W) to the Meridian. At one point my husband noticed what appeared to be a fairly new road so we drove south on it. We saw what we thought may be a large drilling rig pad. Also there were several older storage tanks in that area. When we arrived home I looked on google maps satellite view. It appears that this pad might be in the very northeast corner of Section 23. Has anyone else noticed this or knows what is happening there?
Loretta,
Continental is going to drill a multi-unit well there. It will go into 23 and 26. Applications are still pending.
Thanks Rick for this info.
I have mineral rights in Sec 23 so I am getting all of that paperwork but wasn't sure of the location of where they may be drilling. Some of the first paperwork said it involves sec 22 and 23 and the last one said 23 and 26 - horizontal drilling.
Rick,
Does that mean sec 22 is out?? I got paperwork from Continental about 3 weeks ago where they were going to court for sec 22 and sec 23. Sec 22 is where my interests are, so curious about your above comment.
Loretta, Sondra,
There appears to be two different plays going on. One that will be in 22 and 23 and another that will be in 23 and 26.
Interesting! Thanks, Rick.
And now it appears the 22 may be a single unit well and the multi-unit is moving to 23 & 26. At least CLR withdrew their spacing for the 22&23 multi-unit.
Chris, I just got back in town and saw the mail about that. Not sure what all it means, but it says order dismissing cause on 23 1N 1W. So is this good or bad news? Guess it depends on where your minerals are. Mine are in 22.
Seems like they are full speed ahead but 23/26 for the multi-unit, already drilling. Pooling on 22 was dismissed so no idea what, if anything, the plan is there.
I am curious if you ever heard how it is going in Garvin county, Sec. 23 1N 1W. I am talking about HP Rig 375.

Loretta, I'm also wondering about Sec. 22 1N 1W. Haven't heard anything at all. Sorry, I'm no help! Sondra
Was the $1500 to lease or buy?
Any offers from Newfield?
I just received an offer from a Venice Petroleum, LLC for $1100 @ 1/8, $900 @ 3/16, $450 @ 1/5 and $50 @ 1/4. for 34-1N-1W. Anybody heard of these guys?
