I’m betting on the Mashburn 1H-33 to become the Mashburn 1H-33x also.

It looks like a multi-unit well would be good if they could drill it from The Mashburn pad and drilling across the Sec. 28 because of all the thick trees that would have to be removed on 28 to make a location. I guess they could use those trees to make all the paper they need for the many pages of paperwork they’ve been sending out! lol

Linda, 28-3N/4W Newfield has final Spacing Order, applications pending for Location Exception and Pooling. 33-3N/4W Marathon had apps. in for this section but they have been dismissed. This involved a protest by Newfield. JUST A GUESS: If Newfield gets control of section 33 I wouldn’t be surprised to see them drill a multi-unit with 28.

I accepted the friend request but haven’t heard back.

Does anyone know what the latest information is on 33, 3n,4w or 28 3n,4w? A friend wants to know. Thanks

Hutch, Would you also explain what “Location Exception” means?

Yes Hutch…We are talking about the same young man. He said Newfield is the one that leased from him. So you think that this means that Newfield won the dispute to drill on 28 so they dismissed the app. from Marathon? And is your thinking that it might be a possibility that Newfield has in mind to drill across both sections from one location (a multi-unit) if they get control? That’s reasonable. With Rush Creek going between them it wouldn’t make any difference would it because they go so deep before going horizonal? That would probably be best for the royalty owners if they did as they could get both sections drilled at the same time. Interesting thought! They are doing that in several places now, aren’t they?

OOPs! I meant that Newfield may have won dispute on SECTION 33 not 28.

Here is OCCs info for a location exception.

Richard Wilson, A multi-unit means they drill one verticle hole about 14,000+feet down and curve it until it becomes horizontal and then drill, in this case, through section 28 and 33, taking production from both sections. Since there is already an existing surface location in section 33 it could as Rick said go from the south section line of 33 to the north section line of 28 producing equally from both sections. BUT this is just speculation right now because Newfield has not yet put in the applications to the OCC to do that.

Location Exception is what is applied for when a section has been given standard spacing but the operator wants to put the well in a different spot, usually to leave adequate spacing for additional wells.

Thank you, Hutch, Linda and Rick. Somewhere it is said to “Ask and ye shall receive”. Sure seems to be working. Thanks again.

Picked up div. order at p.o. for 18-3n-4w today . 10/10/2012 was 6 months.

Hey,Hey,Hey…Let the party begin!!! Is that Newfield, Continental or ???

Ron…What’s the name of that well? Guess you’ll be overnighting it! lol

Okay, Ron, we’ll probably get our division orders tomorrow down here. Can you direct me to the regulation citation so we an have our lawyer ask for the 12% Interest due?

Marathon Smith1-18H. Now that I get the 12% I don’t care if it is after Jan. 2013 when I get the first check, but I will mail it tomorrow.

Good Point! So if it goes even one day over they have to pay the 12% retroactive back to first production. What a deal!!!

I have not got a check yet the clock is still ticking.

I should know by thursday if the interest is on the next check. Even though this will be my second check it is still a big deal!

Brenda I will email you a copy . Put it in with your div. order and see what happens before you call a lawyer.
