**SHL TO BE AMENDED AT HEARING FOR FINAL ORDER LOCATION EXCEPTION PER ATTORNEY FOR APPLICANT
Linda and Hutch, I am aware of the location of the Mashburn 1H4 being drilled from 33 3N4W in garvin into sec 4 of Stephens Co. My post was in response to Rick’s previous post that 33 3N4W would be drilled from the north.
Richard, The permit info and the map I posted were straight off the OCC website. Now I’m not saying Rick is wrong because he rarely is, if ever. We’ll ask him when he gets back from that big party in Dallas!
I’d say potential for a well is Very Good in Sec. 7 3n,4w in Garvin Co. and I think it’s right in the middle of all this stuff being drilled now. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong! Who has yours leased~Newfield, Continental or someone else??
David,
They just completed 2 wells in surrounding sections and have permits for 5-6 more. I’d say there is a good chance to see a well in 7-3N-4W.
There’s a party animal errr I mean a man in the know!!
Linda…it is leased by Jackfork Land, but Continental is the driller according to the letter.
Here is a very good video on drilling the horizontal wells we saw today.
I’ve had experience at that too! When I was pregnant with my first all of us preggys were sitting in the doctor’s waiting room talking about when our babies were due when I turned to a girl that looked about eight or nine months and ask “When is your baby due?” and she said “I had it two weeks ago.” Lesson Learned, you’d think! lol
LOL…Thanks Linda and Rick for the info. I’m excited to hear about all of the drilling activity. I may drive up during the Thanksgiving holidays and take a first hand look…and visit some family.
Thanks Rick. This is all new to me, but extremely interesting. I love to learn new stuff! Look forward to more research. If you have any other websites or info, shoot it my way. Thanks again!
Linda, I was hoping you stuck your foot in your mouth, like asking a fat lady if she’s pregnant! lol
Good Morning All…Just talked to Preston who is down town Lindsay America and he said he would bring me some breakfast if he could get through the horriffic traffic in town! He’s been telling me that in the mornings when he leaves the house and gets to the highway the traffic is so bad he can’t hardly pull out! lol I told him it was only going to get worse as the oilfield here gets better. I wasn’t telling him anything he didn’t already know. lol Yesterday as I was coming home on highway 19 through Erin Springs I met six or seven big gravel truck all alike and in a solid row! The conference calls may make it sound like the oilfield here is better than it is but our eyes and ears around here are telling us it’s for real! I don’t think Preston and his little Mazda Miada (sp ?) would be any match for those big trucks. He may need to trade it for a one ton! I sure hope the companies are paying enough taxes to keep the roads up because they are already suffering. My breakfast arrived. Good Day All!!
Got a buy out offer for 21-1n-1w today from legacy royalty llc for the princly sum of $2000 net ac. We are in La. anyone know anything about that part of Garvin co. ? Google earth just goes through 2-1-12.
Michael: Thanks for the recommend, think we will stand tough for now. We have several pieces of property in Garvin and it is interesting that 21 is the only one they are showing an interest in. We are currently leased out to Eagle on that property anyway.
Tica, I checked 21-1n/1w and the 8 contiguous sections going back a year and found some leasing in the area but no drilling or regulatory applications. Apparently Legacy thinks it is worth having and obviously they anticipate turning a profit. Unless you are in immediate need of the money you might want to wait and see. If you do decide to sell, I have had some dealings with Legacy and they have impressed me as good, honest people.
Yes, David, Rocky Keck is my husband’s half brother but we claim All of him and All of them! Rocky has worked for Mac Oil Co. for many years and is also the preacher of Pearl Assembly of God Church down Bray/Doyle way. His mother, Wilma, (P’s step mom) is a peach of a lady too and lives with Rocky and his wife now. Eldon, Lawrance and Will Roy are Rocky’s brothers and Pam Honeycutt is his sister. The brothers all still live in “The Scoop” area and Pam and family live in Elmore City so they really haven’t scattered much. If you go down in that area and see the big propane tank with KECK on it that’s Eldon’s business and he lives down the road just north of the tanks. But he said if all the drilling takes place around him that the company man told him he thought he would move down around Clear Creek. I can’t say as I would blame them but I’d hate to see him move as he built them a nice home with three inch thick cement walls and a saferoom inside for one of the rooms. They should be safe from the storms anyway and I wouldn’t think the noise from the drilling would bother them much either. lol
Linda…are you kin to Rocky Keck? My brother graduated Lindsay High in '73. He said he went to school with several Kecks.
Would appreciate everyone"s prayers right now for our Preacher and his family as his dad fell and hit his head and has been bleeding out of his brain. They are now taking him in for an MRI as I write this and will be making a decision whether to let him pass naturally or put him on life support. He and his dad are really close so this is a sad time. Thanks
Continental’s conference call is late this morning. Still have time to click in.
