I guess those guys have their ways about finding the mineral owners. That’s the first I’ve heard about them calling without writing first. Phone number was probably easier to find out than address. That’s a nice offer but your first check (for at least four months) will probaby top that! Exciting, isn’t it?

Yes, Richard…I have been both ways to the Mashburn location and have concluded “there is no good way to go”. I had another nearly flat tire at my dad’s this morning when I got out to the driveway. This flat thing will make me a little gun shy about getting out on those country roads by myself. I agree we need some more rigs down south on those locations and Christmas lights on them might let Santa know where to bring our black gold in for Christmas!

What the Newfield man told Preston today was that on the Tina they would probably start fracking tomorrow (we saw the frack tanks going in but I guess tomorrow is the day they plan to start. Seems like it took about 10 days (16 different stages) for ours but since the Tina is a longer horizonal it may take longer.

Cheryl and others…Newfield man said the Kelly is still doing good but didn’t elaborate.

Chris and Bobby and others…The man said they are in about the fifth day of setting up the rig and probably will start drilling maybe today! Yahoo!! About time, huh?

Richard, I got a call like that last night but let the machine get it. Chad Gehring somewhere in Missouri 417 area code.

Richard, You might be referring to my post. The best, bonus, offer I had was $1,000 and 1/8 interest. I took $0 and 1/4. I recouped that lost bonus on the first check I received. I believe the check was for six months production. I would have recouped it if I had 1 acre or 640 acres.

Have a brother living out of Oklahoma who got a call offering him $5600.00 an acre to buy his minerals. Does’t know how they got his phone #. I asked who it was that called and he said he was flabbergasted by the call and that he could’t remember but next time he would get that information before he told them NO. His minerals are, as mine, in Sec. 28 & 33 3-N/ 4W

Evidently our Branch well in Stephens Co. is not the only “Branch” well around. Here’s sometime I just received about one in Garvin:

Thanks Gary, It is just hard to imagine that kind of return. We draw a small check occasionally on 2 old well located in Sec. 28&33 3N/4W and the disparity of what I am accustom to in relation to monetary returns you speak of is staggering to say the least although definitely encouraging.

Richard, nice to see they are offering on land HBP. Who is the current operator?

Richard…You are right, I was thinking of my answer when a man only offered us 2,000 and acre for ours in 16 after they had already got the “Branch” well. Sorry about that. See, that’s why people don’t pay me for my opinion and they get just what they pay for! lol

I looked at Clint’s posting of OCC Docket. Newfield is busy with paperwork for sec 3 & 10 in 2N, 3W especially 10. Thanks Clint.

Thanks Hutch. Linda, I suppose you are making reference to recouping the price of only one acre with the 1st check because when multiplied by total number of acres it comes to a rather large some of money if one were to sell them.

Lynden, Phillips pays on the Henson well and Blue Star in Shawnee pays on the Grimm well. However I was only able to lease acreage not HBP but that only cost me 2 acres and that only effects Sec . 33 3N/4W. It doesn’t effect Sec. 28 3N/4W.

Anyone have an interest in the Smith1-H in 18-3N-4W? I saw a report that it’s first production was 04-10-12. That was 8 months ago. This is with Marathon.

Sara, I don’t have interest in it but I saw the completion report on it, looks like a pretty good well. Should be paying by now.

Julie…I forgot to tell you that they were forced pooled so they probably got a better price than some. So, I would say you negotiated for the best price you would have gotten even if you had held out to be forced pooled.

Ron McK, have you received any payments yet? I haven’t. It’s been 8 months. Does that means we should get interest on it? I have emailed the division dept today asking about it.

I have received two checks. In Oct. & Nov. Yes on interest. If the delay was a title issue may just be 6% .

Sara I have interest in 18-3n-4w.

Julie…remember our relative only has 1/3 or an acre and a half in 20, 2n,3w so I didn’t think $500. was too bad for that small of mineral rights. So for that acre and a half I guess it would be $1500. Did you get twice that? They just took the first thing offered.

Linda, I got carried away with the Stephens Cty forum, so I didn’t see your earlier post about Garvin Sec. 20 2N-3W until now, where you evidently have relatives with mineral rights. I’m leased in Sec. 33 2N-3W to the south of Sec. 20, not too far. Of course I don’t know anything on-the-ground because I don’t live in OK. But that was my last signed lease (end of last year), and it was for double that per mineral acre, so maybe the thinking is that this area might produce? Newfield is the operator.
