Schlumberger Oilfield Glossary:
Permit issued to Continental Resources 12-20-12 for Dickson 1-21H 3N/4W Garvin.
Chris Moore, are you still dealing with Liberty, who’s representing Raydon re: your Garvin mineral interests?
The reason I’m wondering is because I noticed on the school lease auction site Rick mentioned that there’s a “Liberty Land Services, Inc” bidding on Sec. 22 3N-2W, not far from where I’ve got minerals. This got me interested, but when I looked them up online, they seem to be out of Florida and kind of irreputable, per BBB. Is that the name of the company that approached you? Are they in Florida?
I’m happy with the 1/5 @ $150 for the lease in 2-3N-1W (2 year lease), we’re working on terms. Now I’m into the next big big step of learning what really matters in the terms We’re already on the docket for pooling in mid-January and they claim to be ready to drill in the first quarter so they are motivated and so am I. If we go to pooling I think I can make the case for 1/4 no bonus which I’d prefer but then obviously we don’t get necessarily good terms beyond that, as I understand it today.
Chris,
Do you think it is possible to get GROSSS PRODUCTION AT THE WELLHEAD vs NET PRODUCTION? Could save you a lot of money over the lifttime of the well.
Julie, their proposed lease reads: “Liberty Land Services, Inc. 3308 Horseshoe Bend NW, Piedmont OK 73078” and the landman, Boyd Maser, is in Oklahoma so I think it is a different company.
Thanks, Chris, landmen have to even get our SS# for tax purposes, so I’d hate to think I was dealing with a bad company. Did you go with the offer you got from Liberty?
Thanks again, Chris, and good luck with your terms. Sounds like they might be very inclined up there in Sec. 2. I think it’s great there’s interest in Garvin 3N-1W, generally, because I had started thinking it was out of current play. Really good to know. Best, Julie
Got offers from cambria entergy to purchase my net acers in 1n 1w for $650.00 net ac. comments anyone?
Tica, how many acres do you have? What section?
Way too low! If I wanted to sell it wouldn’t be to Cambria.
Tica, se mefier.
Michael, what is se mefier?
robert, It’s way too low an offer, he called this afternoon and started going up. I think he wants it real bad but we are not considering selling. Just signed a small lease on sec 31, 1n, 1e and they are going for a deep well in feb 2013. I’m just trying to see what my group has to say on the subject.
Tica,
I think there is a 15% depletion allowance for Feds and 22% for Oklahoma,
please check with your tax adviser:)

Jason, I also received offers from Bridgepoint yesterday for minerals in 2N 3W, sections 17, 19, and 20. The offer states Stephens, but I believe they are in Garvin. The amounts range from 3,000-5,000 depending on the area. I get offers from them about every 3 mos. or so.
I received 3 offers as well on different sections from Bridgepoint. Ranging from 3K to 5.5K an acre.
Thank you Vicki and David for the helpful info.
Got’um and filed um in the [ couldn’t care less file ]
Hello Richard. I received a letter from Bridgepoint Mineral Acquisition Fund yesterday wanting to buy mineral rights at 3000 per acre for sec. 28-2N-3W. Did you receive anything like that? I figure it was a mistake on their part. They also sent offers on sec. 28 and 33-3N-4W which I of coarse declined.
