Garvin County Ownership Questions Newbie :-)

Hi Everyone, I was wondering about some things and thought maybe I could get some help here. I have posted before but my mother passed away and we found out that she has mineral rights in Garvin County. I went to the Pauls Valley Court house and looked through the books with the clerk. She printed out the pages I would need to start the process of getting these put into my name. (Book 1011 page 406-408)

She checked off the property that she said my mother had mineral rights on... I hope I don't bore you with all these numbers: Section 23 Township 3N, Range 1 West

Section 10 Township 2 North Range3East Section 25 Township 4N Range 1E

Section 19 Township 4N Range 2 east... My question is...How do I know that this is really what she owned? I have no relatives left alive to ask so I am trying to find anything I can that proves it. Not really sure what direction to go in. My grandmothers name was Odessa Sevedge and she left everything to my mother Martha Perkinson. Thanks for any help!

Go to www.okcountyrecords.com and see what you can pull up in Garvin County. There are several different ways to go about it.. You can start by searching the name in that county. You can also search by the township, etc but that's a rather exhaustive search. It's a good place to start.

Thanks Rhonda!. I will start there. I appreciate the help

Hi Rhonda, I went to the Oklahoma county records and pulled up 2 of the 5 "paragraph" or land descriptions that I got at the courthouse. Can I just take the word of the worker at the courthouse? I am hiring an attorney to put these in my name since my mother is deceased....I just want to make sure that the documents I got at the courthouse are true. Thanks again!
