Grandpa owned minerals in TX

I found information that my great grandpa owned 1200+ acres in Reeves County block 55. That land was never sold. Can anyone advise next steps?

It is unclear what you are wanting to achieve. If you want to know if there is oil and gas activity near the minerals, try to find them in Block 55 on the RRC’s GIS Map Viewer [click on the “?” at the top of the viewer for the User Guide. Or click on the magnifying glass icon, choose “Surveys” from the drop down menu, choose Reeves and enter the information you have and click Query.].

If you want to learn more about his property–including leasing activity–search his name on this Reeves County Public Records search site.

Visit with a Texas attorney about what is needed to claim your share of the minerals.
